Learn More About Us

Clinical Psychology Scotland (CPS) is one of the region's leading providers of comprehensive mental health and rehabilitation services. Our aim is to provide assessment and/or intervention in a timely, cost-effective manner and to do this with the highest level of professional conduct.

CPS was established by the Clinical Director, Dr Alan Grieve, Chartered Clinical Psychologist, and has been providing private psychological services since 2010. Although our administrative and treatment base is in Fife, we also have clinicians in Glasgow and can provide treatment in Edinburgh. However, please contact us if you are out with these areas, as it might be possible to arrange a home visit.  Our medico-legal services are Scotland-wide and we are able to provide reports in all of the instructing areas covered in the Services for Solicitors section. We are also able to provide reports for clients in the Highlands and Islands.

What we are best at

Our Clinical Psychology Services

Services for Employers
Current pressures in an age of austerity and a need for increased productivity have placed a high level of pressure on employees, which can have a direct impact on business performance.  This has led to companies having to support a sometimes stressed and fatigued workforce. These difficulties can then lead to employees being less productive, enjoying their work and personal lives less and ultimately, on occasion, taking time off on long-term sickness absence.
Services for Adolescents
Our adolescent service is for young people aged between twelve to sixteen years old. We understand that this is a time of many different transitions and changes and is often a time when young people can begin to experience a range of psychological and behavioural difficulties. Our clinicians have experience of working with young people and we provide evidence-based treatments, such as cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT).
Services for Adults
Our adult and older adults service is for anyone aged over sixteen years. Our clinicians have experience of working with people across these ages and we provide evidence-based treatments, such as cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desinsitisation and Reprocessing therapy (EMDR) for a range of difficulties and this will be done following a comprehensive assessment and an agreement on the goals that a person would like to work towards.
